st March, which also happens to be the first day of Passover. The significance and connection is perfect, since an Aries moon refers to the restoration and renewal of all life in human hearts particularly through focused thought and good intent, while the Vernal Equinox is about rebirth, and the moving from darkness into light. Passover, meanwhile, is a celebration of liberation, spiritual and metaphorical as well as literal, and a time for remembrance and thanksgiving. Saturday will be a special day indeed. [caption id="attachment_3543" align="alignright" width="487"]An Easter Trinity The Last Supper (Leonardo da Vinci)[/caption] The story of Easter, in the Christian faith, is about death and liberation through resurrection, but reference to the Passover is strong in that Christian story: Jesus was killed at Passover time, and the last Supper was a Passover meal. Blood is a powerful metaphor in both these great events, and continues so still as we think about life and death, and freedom from the ending of life as we reflect upon the past, as we tend to do at this time of year and as men and women have done for many centuries, often with emotions of sadness mixed with hope. Emotion is directed by the lower mind, but Aries is about the higher mind. Many of us do not realise the power we have to influence, benignly and non-interventionally, the world in which we live through how we control our thoughts and use our minds wisely. Through clear thinking, discernment and without attachment to an outcome we can change the balance of energy in a situation or even in ourselves from negative to positive, dark to light, duality to one-ness. The children of Israel knew the meaning of focus, and of trust, as did the Master Jesus in his brief lifetime on Earth. It is time, now, for us to put the past behind us – not to forget or ignore the past, but to recognise that, as a new era comes in, Easter is no longer associated with death and suffering but is a celebration of the establishment of Heaven on Earth. It is about life and community, about the anchoring of the Christ Consciousness, and about a spiritual future grounded in joyful, loving human-ness. It is about the ultimate resurrection, the final rebirth, and about the promise of Spring becoming the abundance of Summer. This, perhaps, is the message of the trinity that is coming together between the Vernal Equinox, Passover and the Easter Full Moon on 31st March: it is time to celebrate what is coming, and to use our minds and hearts to help create this long-awaited new world of many blessings.   Image: The Last supper by Leonardo da Vinci through Wikimedia Commons   [byline]  ]]>
