Teachers about Life

I am thinking of those who starve in Africa; who die in tsunamis and nuclear disasters; Russians who die in floods and Americans who die in a heatwave; children who are abused or murdered most cruelly; men and women who are neglected in failing healthcare systems because they are too poor or too old; victims of scams which ruin their lives; whales which are killed on the grounds of scientific research but really to be eaten; elephants killed for their tusks…and so on. Whether a dolphin or a child, these are souls who show the shadow side of being human, or perhaps the power of nature: one way or another through their experience we can learn much: they are catalysts for change and without them our learning would be harder and longer. Many have taught about life throughout history and will do so  in time to come - such as that time may prove to be. Some have taught through shocking lessons, others through grace and goodness in serenity, and many souls have done both in different lifetimes. If you can, do not judge the experience of which you are a witness, but give thanks for the gift of the learning. You are the teacher too.]]>
