She has pledged once again to continue in her service to her country and Commonwealth and so her work and present life are not yet quite complete, but this anniversary can, for her, be a reflection of service well done, at many levels. Only the strongest of republicans could deny that does not deserve the love and respect in which she is held, which is as much for the person as it is for her office.
Her life has been one of blessings but also of burdens; she has learned much and taught us much; she has always done her best and as such she may be an example of someone who is quietly but fundamentally spiritual but who would never claim so to be, for I suspect she rarely thinks about herself. I do not know her but it may be, from what I see, that she exemplifies to some degree the
Principles of the New Consciousness, which is a spiritual and practical philosophy of living and being for this new era which I teach to those who are drawn to it. She is herself, she is highly discerning, she sees the truth, she is non-judgmental, for a monarch she lives simply, and she has great compassion. It may be she has no ego, which is a gift to which most of us can aspire for it is the essential foundation of peace of mind heart and soul.
The Queen has been in the background of my life for all my life and hers is a reassuring presence, one which represents stability, familiarity and continuity. The life and service she has chosen are not ones which I would wish to have, but, on this anniversary and at this time of the full moon, I am grateful to her especially for all she has given. I wish her very well.
I will be running a weekend workshop on Healing the Ego in April.]]>
