My inability to sleep depends upon the stars and like you, perhaps, the moon when it is full brings wakefulness and vivid dreams. So it was for me last night.
Because of its powerful impact I regret wryly sometimes that the impact of the full moon lasts several nights and days, not just the time when it is at its absolute peak. For this month in November the moon is at its strongest today at 2017 GMT, and while I may be weary I will delight in the particular closeness of Spirit that a full moon brings always.Scorpio is the sun sign which relates to this latest full moon, and it signifies the Warrior. Interestingly, the sign changes to Sagittarius towards the end of the month just as Mercury goes retrograde formally, but the effect of the retrogression is being felt already, mingling and amplifying the qualities of Scorpio in a way that can be quite uncomfortable.
So, for you and me and the human race this is a time of challenge and struggle when our values are tested and our karmic lessons reviewed. It is a time which is far more than just this incarnation, for the soul journey too is under review to see what has been achieved and what remains to be done. Beyond the challenge lies confusion also thanks to Mercury going backwards, but whenever there is challenge there is also opportunity, and we can grow most and achieve more as humans and as souls when the seeming obstacles are greatest. That is the gift that being human brings – and I will try to remember this if my night, tonight, is filled once again with wakefulness and dreams!
