It is the new moon today, and the period which is the dark of the moon is nearly over. It has been amazing to go out at night and feel my way, torchless, to the bottom of my garden and to sit in total darkness with the light of hundreds of stars above me. While full moons are most special and to be celebrated, these opposite times have a mystery about them which is magical.
Our human sensory system of sight is inhibited or even removed, and it is our opportunity to sense and connect with the Void, the place where God resides, and to enter into the void which is at the heart of each of us.
While it is the time for reflection upon what has been completed and what lies ahead in the next moon cycle, it is a time also for "doing" nothing, just being, feeling, sensing all that is, anywhere. With acceptance of the blindness which enables us to move forward in the dark with confidence and trust, by not knowing or trying to know what lies ahead, we can achieve anything and everything, and anything is possible.
