A Supermoon Conflicting with Mercury?

Powerful energies will be abroad this weekend, and they could be disturbing. With the combination of a Supermoon and Mercury retrograde, Mother Moon and the Winged Messenger will be in direct conflict with each other as the mysterious lunar force is impeded by the mischievous communicator who is trying to create confusion and block the ebb and flow of human interaction with the divine. He reminds us of our frail humanity, while she reminds us of the Spirit within and without: our challenge will be to understand and recognise the gift of it, and to use the apparent conflict to make us stronger. The contrariness of the situation may cause us to feel blocked, stuck in our ways or stuck in a situation that will not move however hard we try. It will be like trying to drive a car with the handbrake on - and it may feel as if our contact with Spirit is restricted too. It will be important to remember that Mercury is very good at creating illusion in order to test and tease us, and to look through his false reality to find the golden thread of truth behind it, allowing Mother Moon to express herself to us as she wishes. Because her energy will be slowed down at this Supermoon time, we will be given an unusual opportunity for thoughtful reflection and decision-making. As our truth is brought to light through the games of Mercury, we can explore our vision for our service and our life, resetting our ultimate goal of achieving our place in the Plan of God. The blockages of conflict can become perseverance and commitment, and as the illusions fall away, the brilliance and nearness of the Moon can inspire and validate the God within. Seen in this way, the Supermoon and Mercury are not in conflict at all, but working together to encourage our progress and help us be the best we can be.
