Openness and transparency of the church, and to teach people to think independantly, stood out for me from your comments on the show. The phrase the Pope used about God sleeping suprised me also, though I know I don't understand what he meant by it, it appears to be such a personal thing to say and yet an invitation perhaps to ignite debate about the role of God. Thank you, Paul. Yes, I am grateful always when someone says something to make me think, and to help others to reflect also. For priests and teachers to see themselves as guides to help their students to their own choice of belief and worship is very important to me, and it is something I encourage always when I work.
