Experimenting on Animals, Atlantis and Now

In the last hour I have learned two facts, both new to me. One is that  thousands of animals are imported into the UK for medical research, all bred overseas for that purpose, and the other is that animal activists have been threatening the transportation companies with terrorist-like repercussions if they continue so to do. As the availability of these animals is declining as a result, so doctors and scientists are demanding that the government intervenes to enable their work on animals to continue. Atlanteans and other civilisations developed sophisticated methods of healing and preventative medicine using light, sound, energies and the fruits of nature, so successful that some men and women lived for hundreds of years in perfect health. The abuse of animals by a dark sector there was not for the furtherance of medicine, and it is possible, despite or because of modern knowledge, to relearn these ancient gifts of natural healing. It is possible, too, for the creation of animal life for human benefit to be taken to such an extreme we find ourselves mirroring the cruelty of those people of Atlantis so long ago. It is our choice. The activists, in using threats of reprisal and destruction to create great fear in workers who, largely, have only an indirect part to play in the animal trade, show as little compassion as the scientists who use the creatures, sometimes less when animal welfare is used as an excuse for creating anarchy. Ethically the attitude on both sides raises serious questions about values and what it means to be human, although each one claims to have right on their side. I hate animal cruelty and I believe in the power of the natural world for healing and self-healing, but I respect the right to choose. The scientists and the activists must learn, themselves, about the true meaning of kindness and global co-operation; it is wisdom that cannot be imposed but must come from within. Attitudes will change and one day animal experimentation on this industrial scale will cease, as will cruelty to children and the abuse of the countryside by pesticides. Until then we can each do what we can to honour our natural world as best we can, and that will soothe the souls of all which suffer now.]]>
