Reflections on a solstice week well spent

At a personal level, I remember a meditation retreat populated by soul beings of magnificence; days of silence and stillness where only the sound of water and birdsong was audible; nights of ritual and solemnity; working always with the light even in the dark; times of humour as heavy rain and clouds of bugs ensured our activities were limited by the direction of nature; and I remember always the presence of Spirit. Much was achieved, for which I am grateful. Beyond our sanctuary in mid-Wales much was happening also, ultimately all for the good and all contributing to the dismantling of the global status quo which is part of our transition. Election results in Greece and Egypt will prove to be destabilising rather than unifying, while the failures of summits in Rio and Mexico will contribute significantly to the crumbling of global monetary systems and environmental stability; and the heavy rains which have caused massive damage in the UK and elsewhere are a timely reminder of the power of Gaia and her response to the continuing carelessness of man. Following this Solstice, Spirit is closer to our planet than ever as filters which have separated us for aeons are dissolving. This is the biggest achievement of the week, even though it has gone largely unnoticed. That does not matter, for nothing matters now.]]>
