Whatever the causes of the Eurozone’s woes, and Greece’s in particular, the situation now is that all its members have problems and that there is an almost unmanageable issue to do with deprivation which is resulting in a breakdown of society. If there is not a rebalancing soon based on compassion and lateral thinking, social disorder will increase distressingly as the deprived and denied and hopeless lose patience.
As Angela Merkel and her colleagues focus on maintaining the Euro at all costs, preparing to abandon Greece if necessary in order to support other more viable but ailing countries like Spain and Italy, they will find that, by disregarding the needs and feelings of the people who suffer as a result of the debt problems, there could be repercussions they regret.
