Sometimes the endorsement is so subtle it takes great awareness to recognise it for what it is, and sometimes it is unmissable, so obvious it is like seeing a heart-shaped banner in the sky with your name on it above a message of congratulation or love, or even humour, which may make you want to laugh or cry at the gift that has been given you.
I was reminded of this yesterday, when I received an e-mail from a friend and student who had attended my workshop-retreat on Healing the Ego last weekend. The group had been a wonderful one, a perfect number to enable us to work at a deep and powerful level to identify and let go fears, beliefs and attitudes which inhibited the human and soul journey. I knew by the end of our time together that she had grasped perfectly what I was trying to impart and that she was determined to implement change within herself – which is the key to healing ego.
She, like all her peers there, was open about the issues in her life which she recognised were created by her ego and we both knew that her new sense of purpose and clarity could bring her, truly, peace of mind and heart. She wrote to me to say so, seven days after we came together, and then minutes later she wrote again to say that something amazing and quite unexpected had just occurred which was directly related to one of those issues: it was a gift in every sense, to do with what we had discussed together and given with love and playfulness by Spirit to support and affirm her, to make her smile and to reward her for her efforts. The message could not have been clearer nor more relevant.
Every “coincidence”, such as this was, carries a message, whether subtle or blatant, and for good reason. The more we heed it the more we will gain, and a good life will get even better.]]>
