A wish for the New Moon of the Great Solstice

It is a birth preceding a birth, bringing a cycle that is new in every way and, like every moment at this time of change, it is more significant and portentous than our tiny human minds can understand. Every thought, word and action by you or me will impact what lies ahead, even though a safe and certain birth is assured, shaping and determining the colour, note and look of what is to come. When I was young, I was taught to make a wish at the time of the new moon: many people have forgotten this old tradition now though I remember and mark it still. This is a perfect time to create and pledge a wish not, perhaps, for you personally but for a wider purpose, as your gift, today, to the energy of the Solstice and to the divine Plan. By remembering and honouring this day and this time, the moon and the Sun, the Earth and the cosmos – for this is what your wish will do, however brief your wish may be - you will be sharing the role of midwife to Gaia and to God. Spirit is being reborn next week, and the more you choose to give in love and thanks, the more you, too, will fly.]]>
