Perfection of Nature[/caption]
When the world seems unreal, there is one constant to remind us of sanity and honesty, and that is nature, which never lets us down even though so often we betray her and fail in our role as steward and guardian of the kingdoms of the natural world. Nature never pretends to be anything other than she is; she lives simply and economically, and in balance when we allow it. She comforts us too, and I was reminded of this when, this morning, I heard the birds greet the day and watched a stoat in winter ermine chase across the garden, doing what their ancestors have done for thousands of years. Nature lives timelessly and perfectly, and while we live perfectly too, we have far more to learn.

Ah, yes . . . the issue of the balance of nature. Chris Griscom once said something to the effect that, when we spend time in nature, we learn where we are out of balance within ourselves.
Thank you yes, nature reminds us about ourselves very well, but so often we fail to get the message!
