Quan Yin, carved in green jade, sits serenely before me as I write, positioned on a window sill facing east. it is early morning, the sun is rising and its rays shine through the old stone, making the jade translucent and enabling the light and the beauty of this symbol of love to be seen and felt fully.
Looking at Her, as I have been doing, and do every day, I see Her as an anchor, a reminder of what is real, what is transitory and what is illusion. The loving compassion which flows so strongly from Her reassures and confirms, in a world and on a day where deception, betrayal, violence and corruption are the highlight of the news, that this is all that matters. Everything else is just "stuff" to observe and learn from, without judgment, in the knowledge that, like a boil, it will come to a head, burst, and the patient will feel much better without the poison in him. It is then that Quan Yin will be remembered by the many not the few, and Her truth will be our new world reality.
