It has been a recurring nightmare all my life, and childhood games like hide and seek were unhappy reminders of what I wanted to forget. My dream-time remembering is of a particularly dark time in the ancient war waged for millennia against the Light: it may be your nightmare too, for the men and women who were on Earth then are here again. Some, too, like me were chased, others instead were the hunt.
That is what this Full Moon is all about – reminders and choices as it illuminates starkly the schisms and fissures in our world as the battle for the Light rages between religions and races, nations and individuals, values and intents, compassion and cruelty. It is no coincidence that the hunting down of Jamal Kashoggi has occurred at this time. This, remember, is the Moon of the Hunter, and it is Blood red as it looms over Earth this week, reminding us of what we have long forgotten, reminding us of why we are here - for the Hunter’s Moon is also the Blood Moon, and the Moon of Decision.
Nightmares are reminders of the past, and of dark events and feelings that seem real at the time but which fade in the light of day. Light dissolves the dark, always, and the dark cannot exist in the Light. So it is that the sombre happenings of war and plague and death all around us may seem like a terrible reality now, but the imminence of a great Light will turn it into a dream, and every nightmare can become something beautiful. It is very personal, and yet a cosmic truth.
This October Full Moon of Blood and Hunt offers us the choice as to whether to believe in our nightmares and give in to them, or to wait, knowingly, for our world to wake up to a new way of life as the black flags of the perpetrators of darkness become white flags of peace. The black horsemen have lost their power and do not matter: I know that now.

G'day, Claire! 🙂
Interesting that you should mention what you do.
I'm impressed that both karma and synchronicity are at work. Intuitively speaking, I'm sensing a replay of the struggle between the followers of the Law of One and the Children of Belial occurring. This makes for the karma.
As for the issue of synchronicity, this impresses me as something being subordinate to karma, in a sense. Why I feel it possible to say this is because synchronicities can occur for both the paths of Light and its opposite.
Additionally, I've been getting the image of the Grim Reaper in the last day or so, with people posing as him and holding up a pink prison jumpsuit - just for Donald Trump. This is occurring on a Hunter's Moon. Guess who's being pursued?
In terms of decision, I'm currently awaiting a decision for admission to another graduate programme. Once that occur, I shall be leaving my current one behind. (I've been leaving behind all their petty machinations, a process that has accelerated most especially in the last day or so.)
Finally, thinking in terms of the U.S. midterm elections, the choice has become rather stark indeed: Donald Trump has really been stoking the fires of intolerance and hatred as a means of keeping both houses of Congress with Republican majorities - thereby perpetuating what became known in Canada as an irresponsible government under Stephen Harper; while former President Barack Obama has been using his talents as a community organiser to resist his successor, more or less since leaving office, with a crescendo building as the elections have hotted up and 6 November (Election Day) fast approaches: his get out the vote efforts - especially with young people - are increasing. Moreover, resistance is building against Republican voter suppression efforts aimed at people who would vote against them in these same midterms.
In other words, the conflict between Light and Darkness is being played out in quite palpable terms with the U.S midterm elections.
Reflecting upon this, I see not only the metaphors of the hunter and hunted being played out in these same midterms but also a reprise of Shakespeare's play Macbeth, with Donald Trump being Macbeth in this instance. It will be interesting to see how Birnam Wood will come to Dunsinane in this instance, as well as who will be vanquishing Macbeth (in a metaphorical sense). Will his vanquisher also be 'not of woman born'?
Hunter and Hunted indeed! They are taking some pretty interesting forms, eh?
William
Thank you as always for taking the time to comment, William. I agree with you - the conflict between Light and Dark is being played out in every aspect of public life, including Saudi Arabia of course, Yemen, Brexit, China and indeed the USA.
I am reminded of King Lear as well as Macbeth?
There is indeed the issue/element of narcissism evident, Claire. Perhaps between the two will be found his undoing?
Lear also is about the descent into madness......and betrayal, and manipulation. There is much for us to learn from Shakespeare that is very relevant to today. Thank you again.
