There is a significance, always, in cosmic events such as these, and it is no coincidence that the New Moon will be born just as the climax of the eclipse is occurring. It is the Equinox too, and so a remarkable day for major spiritual events. We will be witnesses to and participants in the start of a major new cycle, one that is unknown, and one that will be determined by each one of us through our actions and attitudes. Do not doubt your power to affect the future of the known, and unknown, world.

Astronomers Studying an Eclipse[/caption]
It is no coincidence, either, that the day of the eclipse has been designated “the International Day of Happiness”: Because happiness is a transitory emotion, I would prefer it to be called a Day of Serenity, but whatever its name, what is important is that there is as little negativity in you as possible during this day, at least. How you are, how all of us are, will create the energy of the cycle that is just beginning, and so it is important. On Friday, you are a creator of the future.
This is a testing time for many people, and if you find it hard to feel peaceful or caring as the Sun loses its light, due to anxieties or distractions, know that your wish to contribute to the destiny of the Planet usefully will be known nonetheless. The eclipse will be a time for prayer and trust, and for awe as the gods remind us, once again, of the power of the Cosmos - and your power also.

G'day, Claire!
Given the issue of needing to feel good on such a day as this, perhaps it is wise to pay attention to the Andrews Sisters paying a visit to Tuxedo Junction:
