Questions on the Five Elements

Always, always I write from the heart and often, when I begin my blog, I do not know what I will say. Sometimes the outcome is quite a surprise to me.

So it was yesterday when I wrote some words about the significance of working with and honouring the five Elements.  It is a subject of importance to me, and I was pleased that a number of you responded to it with interest and understanding. A couple of you asked questions which were very relevant. The first was asking if we can be particularly connected to more than one Element, and how to know which ones? A friend from the US has given a view on this already (posted on yesterday's Thought for Today) and I agree with her advice to think of a place of our dreams and how it would be.

Certainly we are connected, in fact, to all the Elements and it may be that two or three may be stronger than others for us, but there usually is one that stands out. Our interests and character, as well as our ideal environment, can give good clues on this: an "Earth"person may be keen on gardening, working or being in nature, practical in nature, a botanist or lover of a piece of land; a "Water" person may be a swimmer, a fisherman, a sailer, someone who loves the sea or who gets joy from being near water whether it is a garden pond or an ocean; a "Fire" person loves bonfires, the colour red, is fiery and lively, burns candles and gets pleasure from being near an open fire; an "Air" person communicates well, may be a bit of a chatterbox, likes watching the skies, the stars, the clouds, loves flying and admires birds…it is all about what gives you most pleasure and joy in life.

The second question was on using energy from Spirit and Nature to heal, and the future for incurable disease. Yes, I believe increasingly people will understand the value of, and use, ancient healing methods and remedies from Nature and within ourselves. Because disease most often is a symptom of the soul being out of balance, when we are in balance and the spiritual is integrated into the human, then disease as we have known it cannot exist.

To all of you who take the trouble to read my words and then to comment, I give you my heartfelt thanks.
