It is dawn and a long day stretches ahead of me but the acceleration of time means it will soon be tomorrow while yesterday breathes still in my ear. Time is merging.
Because of the unravelling of time as we have known it our mind, our nemesis, is challenged as it never has been before for it depends upon the regulated pattern of time for its power, constantly looking backwards and forwards through distorted lenses to trap us in a world of self-doubt and emotion. When past and future merge into one all there is the present, which is no man’s land for the mind, a place where it cannot exist.And this is what is beginning to happen. For some people it can be disconcerting that they cannot remember what happened last week, or why they went upstairs, or someone’s name, all of which is symptomatic of the mind ceasing its domination under the merging of time. The deterioration of a mind may be due to illness but is not always so, these days, by any means.
After decades of struggling against the tyranny of my active mind I learned to control the nature of my thoughts but not always their presence and even if the mental one-sided conversation was trivial it was often there nonetheless, like an irritating noise in the room next door. I have noticed now that, as time is becoming anchored in the present, so the noise has stopped, because there is nothing for the mind to hold on to.
Without unwanted mental talk and without time we can make our life whatever we want: busy or still it is underpinned by a foundation of peace, a place where ego cannot be. Do not resist the merging of time, please, for it brings with it your heart’s desire, and true peace of mind and of soul.
