So, the British people now have a government after five days of highs and lows. It was interesting to observe how so many of the politicians involved underestimated totally the intelligence of those people, failing to see that their drive for power and to retain power was blatent and unedifying, serving only to confirm the view that the British political system is self-serving and possibly corrupt.
That viewpoint is widely held but is not accurate. Yes, some of our "leaders" have much to learn, and teach, about leadership, responsibility and example, but there are some also who genuinely are driven by a desire to change society at all levels, to make it kinder, fairer and inclusive.
As a new cycle begins in our political system, the checks and balances that have been imposed on the government - by the people - are an opportunity for the previous adversarial system to be replaced by co-operation, pragmatism and a desire for the greatest good. It will take time, but if the coalition works we could see the beginnings of the manifestaton of the New Consciousness in our democratic system, which would be wonderful. This applies to all countries undergoing similar upheavals also.
In the knowledge that this revolution is possible, I wish all those concerned with the new project well. The more goodwill and positivity which flows to it, the greater the likelihood of success. Will you join me?
