This March Full Moon, of Sacrifice

This is the last Full Moon before the Easter Moon, and, with the imminence of this great spiritual festival, it is appropriate that the days leading up to what is viewed as the ultimate sacrifice should be touched by the energy of personal and collective sacrifice. Your challenge and spiritual goal, as a human being, is to learn to give up the desires and attributes which are to do with you as the individual in order to help your community. It is about letting go of those many desires and ambitions which are there to benefit you: anything that is based on selfishness or self-interest must go, and until nothing matters to you except the good of the whole, you will be locked in the limitations of your personality. Spiritual sacrifice is about renouncing the demands of your personality in order for your soul to be free, at last, and when this happens, more and more you will not care how you feel, what others think, where you are going, and what problems you have, for the emotional vagaries of the human will have been replaced by an overwhelming love accompanied by deep wisdom. You will be Spirit in a human shell that looks and sounds and appears like you – but you will be different, and it will show in your light and your energy. This is your goal on your long, arduous human journey, though you may not know it yet. If you take any time to reflect on this Full Moon of Sacrifice, you may wish to think about what you have done in recent hours that may be seen as self-centred, and why you did it. The more you are aware of your patterns of thought and behaviour, the more you will be able to renounce what does not serve you or the Plan of God – if you choose. The idea of allowing yourself to become an anonymous part of the greater whole which is God rather than remaining a separated personality locked in the world of matter, may be scarey, but it is this, only, that will bring you the bliss you dream of. The sacrifice is not about death but about life, about leaving behind the suffering of selfishness in order to become your truth. It is about resurrection, and about moving on, not caring about yourself but caring much for others. This Full Moon, of Sacrifice, remember this, if you will.   [byline]]]>
