The Gotthard Tunnel, and Ley Lines

It is the longest rail tunnel in the world, but this record is likely to be broken soon as China and other countries achieve their intention to build bigger, longer and darker shafts deep underground, demolishing whatever stands in their way. It is extraordinary what we are doing to our planet at every physical level – we have stripped and tarmacked the surface, we are fracking and drilling out what lies beneath us, and filling the airs with planes, drones and wi-fi. Is this progress, I wonder? In its favour, the new Swiss Tunnel will stop, for a while, the demand in that area for more roads to fulfil the demands of consumers wanting goods. I am sad, though, that mighty mountains have been hurt by invasive intervention that is very damaging to the earth energies, so rarely considered when planning these major feats of engineering. Mountains live and breathe, they have their own spirit, and each one has a service and purpose. Every time a spade is put into the earth or the side of a mountain, it impacts the Planet like a surgeon putting a knife into you without consideration for your well-being, only his. Many forget or do not care that, just as our bodies are criss-crossed with veins and arteries, chakra points and meridian lines, so our land is covered in finely defined ley lines linking the spiritual centres that are the points of high energy in our world: when a ley line is disturbed or broken, so is the balance of harmony there, and chaos or disruption can result. It occurs not just with tunnelling, but also with building works and road building, diverting or blocking streams, or bombing lands and buildings. It is not surprising that there is so much suffering in Syria and energetic tension in London and other big cities, and that so many neighbourhood problems are caused by the impact of building works. If the earth energies have been disturbed, there will be repercussions such as subsidence, damp, leaks, insect invasion, stress and conflict at a minor or major level. The land and the spirits may settle down, but not always. In the last golden age, our ancestors knew about the importance of respecting and working with the lines and features of the land, for the mutual good of all. Places of worship were selected carefully for maximum spiritual benefit, and they knew where best to build homes and towns in accordance with the guidance of nature. Any earth disruption was healed by ritual before and after it, and the impact on the land of any major change was a key consideration. Technology and human demand have caused this interactive consideration to be long forgotten, but the wisdom of so doing exists still. There seems little we can do to help the energies of Earth in the face of the global determination for large scale engineering projects like the Gotthard Tunnel – and I know that this sort of development is unavoidable - or minor events like extending your home, but there is help we can give to all these disruptions to our ley lines through prayer and healing. Do not underestimate the power of prayer, nor your power to make a difference. Incidentally, Gotthard means “divinely stern”, which is perfect for this situation, is it not?   (image via Wikimedia Commons) [byline]  ]]>
