The Master of Aquarius

Some years ago, on a night of wild-life, I asked to meet the Master of Aquarius, to question him about the storms battering the Planet even then.

I went to the stars and met The Master, a tall, thin being with grey beard and hair and wearing a turquoise robe, who said, austerely, that, as the new Age of Aquarius was getting under way, it was necessary to cleanse the Earth of the energy of Pisces and that it was being achieved in different ways in different parts of the world.  For the UK it is being done through wind and cleansing water, while in other places it is being achieved through fire.  There will be more, for there is much energy of the Old Age to purge.  He pointed to a golden path leading upwards through the stars, which is our destiny.

As we approach a Full Moon overshadowed by Aquarius, it is timely to remember his words, and to remember also that the moon in Aquarius is about our capacity to feel and to be of and with Spirit.  As such it is all about heart, compassion and the wise understanding to recognise when Spirit is calling to us to wake up to the reality of being human and why we are human now, to be reminded of our purpose and service and of our place in the world of Spirit.  The symbol of Spirit is water and so it is for our emotions too – water the link, today, between how we feel and how we are as soul beings, for how can we be spiritual unless we feel?  Water is the link too with Earth, a planet that is mostly water just as we are too.

There is a difference between the feeling of unconditional love and compassion, which are the essence of being spiritual, and of feeling emotional.  The former come from the heart and have an aspect of objective wisdom about them, while our emotions come from the mind, ego, and originate from fear.  In their own way emotions benefit the soul for they are an opportunity to learn and grow, to heal karma and to accumulate more of the light which is essential to the well-being of our soul, but they can be painful too, and damaging.

As we approach a watery, fiery Aquarian Full Moon, there are reminders everywhere of its meaning, from the emotional and physical conflicts in the Arab world and elsewhere to the fires and drought in Australia to the snows and frosts and floods which cover swathes of our lands, and to the plight of our polluted turquoise seas.  It is a time to remember what it means for each of us, how far we are caught up in our own world of feelings and what those feelings are.  It is time to go beyond ourselves and see what really matters, and where we can help.

Moving from one era to another, one cycle to another can be tricky at the best of times, and the present transition away from the past and to our new future must, because of its importance, be demonstrably memorable.  This time of great global storms must not be forgotten for from them comes the chance of change.  Remember, meanwhile, the reassuring words of the Master of Aquarius – and who better is there to speak on watery matters, and on us?
